I was told to never play it and if we do, we will be stuck with bad luck forever.

It is a board (like a game board) with all the letters of the alphabet, all the numbers, and the words yes' and 'no' in the upper corners.
Two or more people put their hands on a device called a planchette which is an odd heart shaped (or spade shaped) device with a window in the middle. One of the people then asks a question out loud and the planchette 'moves'... or at least someone is moving it, to either spell out the answer or move to the words 'yes' or 'no' (if it was a yes or No question).
The fact that the planchett moves yet everyone involves 'swears' they are not doing the moving is what makes up the mystery of the ouija board. Supposedly people believe it is spirits that are actually doing the moving while other people think it may be the 'collective' subconscious of the participants.
Either way we used to play with it every Halloween and contrary to what others tell you it doesn't conjure up evil spirits to haunt you. Though I will admit... one night I had to walk home in the dark with it one Halloween and I could swear I was being followed.

The bible speaks plainly that witchcraft and evil spirits are real and nothing that you should be involved with. We're talking about the ouija board you can buy at walmart? No, it probably doesn't really work. Its almost always the other person pushing on it or magnets or some other gimmick. But I'd lump it in the same category and horoscopes and such...by themselves they're silly and not dangerous, but if you open your life and your mind to influences that are not holy and of God its going to help you down the wrong path. You play with a ouija board with friends, then you decide a palm reader might be fun and maybe there is something to the whole psychic thing. Its an area its best to just stay away from. I played with one once at a sleepover. It was fun/scary but I decided it was best not to mess with one again.

I played when I was a kid. The way the game works is pretty simple. How much do you really trust the other people sitting around the circle? Anyone a little mischievious? I found it a freaky experience but could never believe in it. It was a good time though. I say go for it and have fun.

LOL I can't believe people think it's real. Didn't you see the TV special on how they don't work?
They blindfolded the people and then they couldn't spell out any messages, which proves they were doing it themselves.
And then they told another group to contact a spirit whose name they made up, and the people started getting messages from the ghost of a person who never existed, lol.
Any messages you get are just from the minds of the person using the board. Either on purpose or unconsciously.

When you play it opens a door to all spirits-good or bad or none may answer. This is why some people have good experiences, some bad, and some think one of their friends is moving it. Me and a friend played with one when we were 15 and it freaked us out so we got rid of it.

It is the devil, and it is real!!!!!
I mean it actually moves by itself when a couple ppl have their hands on it and ask it a question!!
I had a bad experience with it a few years back, and I will never touch it again!
I mean ppl used to tell me not to play with it, because it was bad, but I never thought it was true!
I found out the hard way!!!!!
It doesn't give you bad luck for life, but it can give you bad luck while playing it!!
Trust me!
They should not even have them things on the market!!!!

Well i dont know y people thinks it causes bad luck and stuff.. cuz it dosnt.. ive played it before and its actually fun. It just creepy when you play with friends at night but its fun at the same time!

its called a ouija board and its a dumb board that people actually believe they can communicate with the dead with but really its someone that ur playing with pushing it around

Life is so short, why waste it on nonsense. Many people do believe that you can become demon possessed, because you can call up evil spirits. I know it sounds melodramatic, but whether you believe in it or not, messing with things you are inexperienced with is always dangerous. Why waste your time with this when there are so many positive things you can keep yourself busy with?
