you're totally right! i guess i've kinda subconsciously noticed... but now i know why my cabinet doesn't hold as many cups and mugs!!

yes i have noticed this my son bought me a very large coffee mug its good because you dont have to get up for the second cup it holds two cups... the only problem is i need 2 hands to hold it so i sometimed use a smaller one so i can drink and turn the pages in the newspaper

That's because people are drinking more and more coffee and if you are used to drinking like three cups a day or so then you will drink more that's from the coffee companies. These days so many people are like getting addicted or something I am just glad that I do not drink that stuff

It isn't just coffee mugs and cups. In an effort to make us all supersized...everything is coming in larger sizes..from Big Gulps to muffins.

americans are consuming more beverages. while 8oz or 1 cup is the recommended serving size per beverage we feel like its too small. my friend just went to KFC and they have a 1/2 gallon cup. thats a whole lot of calories. its like a whole meal plus desert. the only thing we should be drinking in large amounts is water.

Actually, at the restuarant Home Town Buffet, they made the cups smaller increasing how many times you would normally get up for a drink.

Maybe cause caffine is an addiction and the more you drink that more you crave so you need a bigger cup to fullfill your craving.... lol i know this question is probably a joke but theres my logical answer

YES! they have some pretty big ones now! and when you look at old cups they are like triple the size
