I have never lost my sense of humor. I think I'd be done for, if
I ever reached that old cranky stage I've seen with some older
people. I think maybe that's a sign they are in the stages of
Alzheimers, when that starts to show up. By and large, I think
most do have a sense of humor.Even when they are down a
bit from aches and illnesses. I know that is a sure fire way of
not being able to keep your morale up. But even then, I still
try. And I think it is my saving grace. For if I had no sense of
humor and couldn't find amusement in life, I'd probably have
no life at all. And since we have had two small dogs in the
house to play and interact with us, they give us so much to
laugh about that it's like a dose of medicine every time we
laugh. I know it's sure made a huge difference in our house,
and I'd recommend a little companion for anyone who's
either feeling lonely or that their life is a little dull. Having a
little tongue lick your cheek to show their love can make for
a very good day out of a bad one.

I've never been a guffaw type person, but have a great sense of humor and still have it...in fact if anything, I think older people get MORE humorous as they have learned to laugh at most life's happenin's

I think a sense of humor is something that you are born with and will take with you to your grave.
I'm fifty-somthing and the sense of humor is still going strong. If we can't laugh what's the sense of living is my motto. I have worked with people in their twenty's that have zero sense of humor. When they get their attitude going I just laugh and tell them not to take themselves so serious. Every once in a while I acutually see the corners of their mouths turn up and this gives me hope.

I hope I never lose my sense of humor, although I must admit I'm a little slow sometimes in 'getting' things. lol A sense of humor sometimes helps me to laugh, when I'd rather cry.

When they finally put me in the box in the ground. How sad it is that some people age and loose their sense of humour. You would think it would get better. After all, we have had more time to practise.

How can age affect humor? Unless you are in the early stages of being senile.
I'll never stop wanting to smile, joking, and laughing.

My sense of humor is the only thing keeping me alive right now. Other wise life isn't worth living.

That will go with the burial rite. Without a sense of humor, regardless how warped, I'd have no sense at all.
