You have a very good point. I think its disgusting that little children are dressed and paraded around, by their parents no less, in a "beauty" pageant. Parents who put their kids in beauty pageants disgust me and i think they are stealing their kids youth away from them.

I am pretty sure that perverted old men isn't the bottom line to the exposure of beauty.
Entering a child into a beauty contest could possibly psychologically damage them, but that depends on the behavior of the parent.
And exploitation isn't exploitation if the reason is well known.

I strongly agree. Not only are you exploiting a young child but you are also reinforcing the idea that the only commodity that is worthwhile is their physical appearance.

It depends on the child and the parent . . . . does the child want to do it for fun? or to please a parent? Is the parent pushing or just supporting something the child wants to try? In everything there is always "good" examples and "bad" examples - not everything is cut & dry . . . .

Yes, I agree.......look at poor little Jon Benet Ramsey...............she was five years old, and still wet the bed and soiled her panties.........
This has also happened to child movie stars in the past, such as Judy Garland.
