talents or skills for an actress?

what skills/talents do u need 2 become an actreess? how can i get them? PLEASE HELP??

Well, having natural talent is always a plus.

But an actress must also:

*Be easy to work with
*Be responsible
*Be prepared
*Be able to take direction
*Be able to learn quickly
*Be able to play a variety of roles
*Do independent study
*Take as much work as possible, but be able to say "No" too.
*Have internet access for work and research
*Look for acting jobs everyday
*Do mailings often
*Have a variety of monologues
*Carry headshots and resumes with you all the time
*Take classes wherever you can, whenever
*Join a theatre group/company
*Make it happen
* Have connections


You get all these things by working hard, and learning through experience.

Really all you need is confidence. You need to be able to play any part and be comfortable enough to make choices and not get embarassed. Being an actress is just letting go and enjoy being someone else.

But if you're looking for actual skills to work on it helps to know certain accents and be able to play different ages so just experiment!

You need to be a very nice person, you need to develop your acting ability, and you need determination. You can cultivate the first, practice the second, but you need to be born with the third.
