2(2a + 3b) = 4a + 6b.

I think you mean (2a + 3b)^2, though. ^2 is to the power of two, *2 means times 2. I'll do it with ^2.

Okay, here is the equation:

(2a + 3b)^2

What you want to do is simplify it. Since it is ^2, it will become:

(2a + 3b)(2a + 3b)

Now just distribute.
