have you thought of modeling. many actresses started as models (Andre McDowell, Cindy Crawford, Tyra Banks, Pamela Hemsley, Nikki Zering, )
You may want to after band is over, try out for plays either in school or local theater groups
go to open auditions.
get a head shot (8 by 10) and an acting resume, I can get you a copy if you need one, but you just got to earn the credits on that
other than a Theater class, take voice lessons/singing lessons, ballet or dance classes. The more you can do, the better people with hire you
good luck in what ever you do as an actress

When Camillia gets a professional acting job from proscout, I will stop saying it is a scam.
the very first thing you have to do (which Mimi and the others always forget to tell you) is that you have to get the support of your parents for your trying to become an actor. Second, you need a really solid reality check. You must ask yourself, your parents and a school theatre teacher if you have the ability and looks to be a profesional actress. This is really difficult, but must be done before going on. Third, you will have to give up band and be in theatre--harsh, I know, but that is the reality. Besides, what's so great about band? Then you need a mentor who can advise your every step towards a careeer to make it as easy and painless as possible. Well, best wishes for a successful outcome, Doc

This is what you need to do:
1. Do school plays, community theatre, sing in choir, take acting classes at school, etc.
2. A year or so after that, after building a reputable name in the community, do local print work or commercials.
3. Once you have commercials or print work circulating, build up a resume, and get some good pictures of you (headshots are good, but not a necessity at this point), and send them out to local talent agencies.
Look here for agents:
http://www.sag.org/sagWebApp/application...
4. In 4-6 weeks, if the agency is interested, they will contact you, go in for your meeting/audition, hopefully you will then be signed.
5. Then you can do bigger things like regional/national commercials & print work, and possibly small roles in film or television.
If you can't even do a school play or community theatre, then you may not want this enough/ be ready.
But good luck!

look for local theaters also that are holding auditions...check in the newspaper for cast calls...I'm from long island and ther's a website for local auditions- so find if maybe there is one for your area.
unfortunately unless you know someone it's hard...to amp yourself and give yourself some range, make some videos with your friends, and study up on some great literature and plays... Shakespeare (all of it), also look for The crucible, Arcadia, Lion in Winter, works by Moliere, Mary Zimmerman...
Acting is more than just being on stage and "becoming someone else" (which you never do- you are PLAYing someone else)...try to study all aspects of historical theater, and modern
And take voice lessons to help for musicals.
Hope I helped! <3

I got started my auditioning for local theater and I finally got a lead outside of school and another director saw me and asked me to audition for his play and it all started.
So basically just try local theater and even audition for plays if you're near a big city. Just keep auditioning!
