I just received a grape ivy. how does it grow? A climbing or spreading plant?

A grape ivy is an excellent hanging plant. It is not a climber.

It is a houseplant that grows long and probably would climb, but I just keep winding mine around the rest of it. I have not taken much time to care for it so it has grown slow.
