No - vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin. But, large doses could be toxic. Follow the directions and take what is prescribed.

Not at all. In large amounts vitamin C could cause kidney stones and it is also a diuretic.
500 mg a day is a useful amount to take. The Vitamin C Foundation actually recommends 3 gm a day but most health authorities recommend a lot less.

the side effects of taking in too much vitamin c would be losing calcium in your body which would somehow give you back problems and sometimes crepitous (sound made by bones everytime you do sudden movement) and you would notice that your bones starts to ache (some parts). 500mg would be enough for each day and you can raise the dosage if you're having an inflammation of the mucous membrane.

No...basically you'll pee it right out, the body only keeps what it needs. If you do get too much though, I think the worst that could happen is get a cold sore from to much acidy stuff. I'm not a doctor, but that's just what i've always been told.

Whether your body passes it out or not, why take more of anything than you need? Its a waste of money and one is taking a chance that some of it might not be passed if the body malfunctions. Take only what the body needs, as you get that "extra" from natural sources.
