Baking soda paste is a mild abrasive which will remove many stains and caked on grease without harming the surface. I'm assuming this is some sort of kitchen decoration that you would like to clean. To keep it clean, you can use a bit of furniture polish, that will make the surface slick so you can easily clean it periodically.

Oh wow, I chuckled too! Wash with soap and water, rinse well. I couldn't agree with Reynwater any more, keep it out of the chicken. :-/
