My country is Iraq and I think we've only ever qualified once in the 80s, so I've never seen my country play in the WC. So I always support Brazil...I have no idea why, ever since I remember I've supported them.
I would love so much if I could see the Iraqi team play in the World Cup....we've been doing great recently, we won the Asian Cup and so we've qualified for the confederations cup in 09 so there might still be a chance...however small! =)

I'm half french, half argentine so I support Argentina and France, especially Argentina because their football is the most beautiful one to watch. But even if I wouldn't be from these countries, I would support the teams that play beautiful attacking football. That's why my favourites teams always are Argentina, Holland and France. And I'm always happy when Italy, England and Germany lose because they symbolize cynical football for me. They play anti-football and I get bored when I watch them.
I used to enjoy Brazil also a few years ago but ever since the 1994 world cup they have changed their football style and now jogo bonito is dead. Lately they have been playing exactly like Italy, defensive football, and I find it intolerable coming from Brazil. They have lost their soul, something that Argentina and Holland have never done, that's why I respect these teams a lot more and I'm not sad when Brazil loses. And when a world cup comes, there is always a team that you like just for that specific tournament, besides your own team I mean. In 2006, I enjoyed watching Portugal because they had a lot of guts and passion, and this is something we value a lot in Argentina. Unfortunately, Portugal played against France so I couldn't root for them in the semifinals, I had to support France because it's my blood. The same in 2002, when France and Argentina were knocked out early in the tournament, I remember I supported Spain because they were playing well but they also lost in the quarterfinals in fraudulous circumstances.
If Irak ever makes it to the world cup, I would support Iraq because I know iraqis love football. I saw that Iraq won the Asian Cup and in Argentina it made the headlines, people here were very happy for you and so was I.

Australia has only qualified twice and many years in between those two times. If we don't qualify, I support England but I enjoy the football of other teams like Spain, France, Argentina, Brazil, Germany etc, so its always a great tournament to watch and follow. I love seeing the new underdog teams evolve and the new talent show itself.

1994 was the Last Time England didn't qualify when I was only 6, but the way things are going we won't be at Euro 2008
If we didn't Qualify I would probably Support the Underdogs in Every Match !

I'm from Brazil and in the first three world cups I watched Brazil was finalist, winning two. Which means that for a long time I had no idea of what was like to see your national team lose before the final :P

My country (USA) first off, never qualifies, and second, I don't support them anyway. I always support (1) Netherlands (2) Ghana (3) Argentina or Mexico, whoever I am watching at the moment, and (4) in the case of Italy v France, Italy

MALAYSIA has never come close of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup, let alone qualifying to the next stage. they will NEVER qualify for any FIFA World Cup in the near future.
i'm currently support ENGLAND ever since the Premiership was formed & since then i did not support my home country anymore.

I'm from USA but I don't fully support them cuz I look to greater teams like Germany and Argentina. US is good but I prefer other teams, though they have been qualifying for the past World Cups.

My country(India) is currently ranked145th by FIFA and has never made it to the world cup finals(to the best of my knowledge).I've always liked Germany (for reasons other than football) ,so I support them.
