Do they look scary skinny, or just small?

The camera adds about 10-15 pounds, so many of them have to really watch their weight to keep getting work, be considered "fashionable" and to not be made fun of in the tabloids for "porking out". Sad, but true.

Sometimes that is true because all cameras aren't the same. Sometimes the movie star tells the cameraman or women to make his or her picture smaller and thinner. So the answer is depends.

Normally they say that the camera adds ten pounds to a person. So therefore a person who appears skinny on camera is actually skinnier in person. Which is a very scary thing.

I think they look thinner because TV and cinema enlarges bodies. I had that experience, when i entered a tv program. When I saw me on TV, I couldnt believe my eyes...I looked much more fat and big

So true. It's a bit of both, Keira Knightley and Jessica Alba are so much thinner than what you see on screen. They are uglier too.

I think so, television and the movie screen can add at least 10 pounds to you.

I think many movie stars starve themselves to keep their weight down. And not eating enough can kill.

When an ordinary person dies, it is usually an emergency medical technician who says, "Darn, we didn't get there in time."

When a movie star dies, it is the pizza deliveryman who says, "Darn, I didn't get there in time."
