Well, what most people don't know is that snot is almost deathly if shot out of your nose too fast. If the inside of your nose was completley bare and you gave a great sneeze, the snot would shoot out so fast that it would shoot through walls. The snot wouldn't stop until it eventually evaporated from the speed. So you see, the nose hairs slow down the snot. Before people realized that nose hairs were good and stopped shaving them off, almost 15 people died a year because the snot shot through their chests or heads or arms.

The hair from the head slowly recedes as you grow older and starts growing more out of your ears and nose instead =D

well the reason we all have nose hairs are because it catches all the dust in what ever it catches up the it is like a filter are something

They help filter what comes in, all the bad stuff gets caught in the nose hairs (and the bogeys) instead of in our lungs - if you go to a smokey place sometimes you get black bogeys, and thats from all the soot.

The biological point would be to filter out debris from the air before it gets into the rest of our respiratory tract. The fun point would be the fact that when my husband ticks me off, I yank one of his out! Brings a tear to his eye. lol
