I'd like to know everyone's opinion on the game. It may be my one sided view of it, but I really think the capitals PLAYED better . This is our 4th loss in a row too :( caps fans out there, do you think we can beat tampa bay next home game? Or are we pretty much dead . ( Yeah i know this question is like 2 in 1. )

The Caps definitely played better 1st period. The Pens were just vomit that period. Serious sloppy play going on there.
2nd period, I think the Pens played better... One even-strength goal, one PP goal scored. Caps should have been more disciplined.
3rd period, the Caps got more chances than I would have liked, but Ovie was absolutely flying and trying to get off as many shots as he could to tie the game up. He finished with EIGHT shots actually, the most out of anyone on either team. (The second most number of shots was 4.)
Ovie owned Sid, haha. Got to love those hits. But Sid gets the gold star for setting up the Ryan Whitey Play (TM), which lead to a goal.
The Caps definitely look better than they did last year. I look forward to their next game against the Pens. And I hope Laraque and Brashear fight every time. Lol.

As you can tell i'm a HUGE Pens fan, anyways I have to give you credit at the end of the game you were coming on strong. However, the Pens WERE and will always be better! I mean we DO have Sidney Crosby, the best hockey player in the world!! Plus the fact that we won most fights and we came out on top with the 2 points and you got nothing so yeah we were better!
LETS GO PENS AND SIDNEY!!!

I thought it was a great effort by both teams. If anything it will renew a once big rivalry. The Pens and the Caps both skated hard the whole 60 mins. The better team won this time.
Lets go Pens!
The check on Crosby was no big deal. He is strong enough to take late hits and can hurt you in too many ways to count.
Did Ovechkin play last night?

Sometimes the team that plays the best is not the team that wins, but I don't think that this was the case. I'm a huge Pens fan though, so you probably shouldn't take my word for it ;)

I'm a pens fan and i have to say, both teams played hard. in the end, the pens won...i mean, obviously they did something more than the caps...umm and i think your dead...

it doesnt really matter what happens in the middle of games; what matters is the final score
pretty much any pro will tell you that.
it can matter if someone pulls off a highlight reel play, but since there wasnt any, go with the first statement

Last I looked, all my PENS had CAPS
If they had no CAPS, the PENS tend to be dry and I throw them away
