How come, in movies about high school, the students look like they should be 30 years old?

Dinah Manoff and Lorenzo Lamas were still teenagers - both were 19.

Because teens can't act their way out of a paper bag. Look what happens when child stars reach their teen years. Especially males. They get awkward. It's easier to just get Toby McGuire. He's a younger-looking 30 something with no zits and his voice doesn't crack.

Thye're all 50 year olds that had their face removed and put back. They should have looked like 25, but they look like in the 30's because they're just too ugly.
