The media is now controlled by a few wealthy people. So I think once you realize that you will be able to answer your own question. People are no longer informed.

Some people in Congress have said that the war in Iraq is illegal without a declaration of war from Congress—for example, Ron Paul.
Congress cannot delegate its sole responsibility under the Constitution to declare war. They have tried to do so in an underhanded manner in the past, such as the Iraq War Resolution, but it is not constitutional.

Because he didn't, technically, violate the Constitution. All the conservative pundits want you to think we have a "war" in Iraq, but it's actually a military engagement. We haven't declared war on anyone since World War II. Bush did ask Congress for the authority to use military force in Iraq, which they stupidly agreed to. They probably didn't foresee Bush thumbing his nose at the UN and invading right away, but some lessons you need to live through to learn.

Because Congress is full of gutless wonders more interested in their own profit than stopping him.
If you think putting a Democrat in the White House will stop it, I think you will be disappointed for all their crying they wont stop the war. their Buddy's make just as much money off the blood shed as the Republicans. Its just a different bunch of Buddy's.

If you want someone who does that, Ron Paul insists that all such "wars" go through Congress.
I understand that you aren't aware of how often this has happened since WW II (I believe every time since), but EVERY President who has had a war since then has evaded Congress in these actions.
Why? Declaring war brings in a lot more restrictions, some of them quite difficult for our nation to deal with while trying to fight.
You don't seem to understand that President Bush has not thrown the Constitution out the window.
EVERY President since WW II ended has done so, in the sense that they have avoided Congress in taking military action.
At least President Bush specifically got an action of Congress to go into Iraq and Afghanistan. Not every President has done that.
Your condemnation of him in this one respect us unjust and lacks any understanding of the historical precedent upheld for several decades now.

In case you can't remember congress did approve of military action in Iraq. Hillary voted for it! Quit trying to blame everything that happens in the world on President Bush! He got the same intelligence about Iraq that congress and the senate did. That's why Hillary is trying to pass the blame for her vote off on anybody she can. If you don't believe me look at the source listed below.
