if i bid on ebay and the starting bid is $0.01 and stopped at $1.00, is this bidding safe? considering the item's current market value is higher than the price of bidding? should i pay for the product? (yes, the seller has high feedback, 99-100%) The item is an iphone or a PDA and im willing to pay $40 for shipping to the philippines.

$0.01 starting bid is just that -- STARTING bid. Sellers use it to entice more people to bid on the item

If you are looking at iphone or PDA do NOT ever make the mistake of assuming it will only end at $1. That is never the case of bidding for these items.

A seller who starts a higher value item like that at 0.01 with a ridiculous shipping cost of $40 to anywhere is not trustworthy. Something up to 4 lbs can be sent to you for arond $25. Check other markets for reliable sellers.

i'd be leary because it's from a foreign country, especially one that is notorious for internet fraud. an item started small and having a high shipping charge usually reeks of fraud. especially if they want you to pay with a western union money order or something to that effect, rather than paypal where you know you are protected loads better. contact ebay if you are worried about fraud with this seller.

I guess, but watch the shipping rate. I had a fellow ebayer try to charge me 35.00 for shipping on a single t shirt, and he was less than 80 miles from my address

united statesground is $10.88 like the others suggested. i become questioning however why you suggested you "dont get the delivery value device"? once you're having hardship viewing the exhibit screen, that's probable for the reason which you have popups blocked or javascripting disabled. if that's the case, examine your browser settings or antivirus/antispyware courses and verify you are able to open popups.
