Personally I think it's best shown by high levels of agreement with Rush, Savage, or any hate radio type.

There are so many to choose from I don't know where to begin. Owning an unnecessarily huge cache of weapons, foolishly displaying pseudo-patriotism in public view, unwavering and blind loyalty to a political party or movement, and disparaging others who have opposing views from their own are all attributable characteristitcs of such ideologues.

In my honest opinion, I would have to choose the over-reliance upon right-wing talking heads and pundits for their repetitive memes and talking points as the best indicator of far-right extremism.

The first indicator of any zealot, whether it be right or left, is the one size fits all attitude.

That everyone should fit neatly in a box and no one is an individual.

What they fail to understand, is that kind of thinking is a basic communist principle. We are not worker ants, we are individuals with different situations, different way of thinking and different set of beliefs.

If life was so simple, as many of them imagine, then there would be no need for political parties, or government for that matter.

The other day my ex called me up about her sister. Our son lives with me. Her sister told HER that our son was a sophomore and my kid's mom insisted that he was a junior. Anyway, after 5 or 10 minutes, my ex had been convinced that she could be wrong and called me up very upset because she didn't know for sure at that point. She was mis-used and treated like an imbecile

Her sister is an extreme right-winged Conservative who doesn't take in information...she just deals it out whether she knows what she's talking about or not. To tell the mother of a child things about her children as if she knew more is pompous and egotistical...Can you imagine how this person takes in current events and the news?

My ex isn't all that bright, but she's a decent person and would never do something like this to somebody else

Apparently you have never listened to Michael Savage, this man speaks the truth and often calls Bush the worst Commander in Chief ever. Neither side has his favor, he is a TRUE independent conservative and he is an equal opportunity basher
with his platform being language, borders and culture.

Savage also bashes O'Reilley and Rush for being Bushies meaning that what ever Bush does is good and right, we all know that not everything Bush does is good and not all is right, case in point the Immigration Reform Act that Bush supported is/was pure B.S.

I believe that if a person believes that everything that their party does is OK then that is an indication that they are either far right of far left.

I prefer to think for myself

As a conservative, I don't think it's right to continue putting our soldiers in combat in Iraq. They have spit in the face of democracy since the beginning of time and they've certainly tried to spit in our face, so they don't deserve our help. We should find ways to protect our country by containing the Islamic nuts through intelligence gathering to discover any plot to attack us again. We should implement strong controls around our borders, both coming in and leaving, so that we are aware of illegal behavior. That includes any kind of profiling at airports. Of course, such measures would be blocked at every turn by left wing ideologues. So there you go.... that's why nothing ever gets done by the idiots in Washington, D.C.

Also, a left wing ideologue is very easy to identify. They believe in Hitler inspired censorship of radio hosts they don't agree with. The 'fairness doctrine' is just a disingenuous, feel-good-liberal way of saying "us libs don't like the results of the free market so let's use artificial government controls over the market to make things they way we want them." And you know it..... if you lose in a competitive market, just run to the government for help!

Someone who thinks that all problems will be solved by getting rid of all dissenting voices, then using the Bible as the basis for a Bill of Rights for only those that "God favors".

We, in the United States, are entitled to hold our own opinions and preferences. We may have differing political opinions and preferences, but these differences don't make one group better than another, or you better than me.
I, for one, get tired of questions that try to elevate one group over another.
What say you about left-wing ideologues??

When they are willing to line up behind their leadership without questioning any facts presented to them by that leadership. This is a common problem among religious people. They accept truth based on faith. Once they have faith in a leadership, that faith is unyielding, just as it is in their religion.

When they take the the "word' of "God" over
reason, common sense and science.

When they believe stuff like "God told me to go to war in Iraq

When they defend Bushie no matter what.

Yep, then you're a right-wing wacko.

Right now I use these criteria:
1) The person believes that under no circumstances should taxes be raised.
2) They support all military actions by the U.S.
3) They are Evangelicals.
4) They believe in a mass liberal media bias.
5) They think George Bush has done a good job as President. This last one might be all I really need.
