I have been looking around for sights, found tons of ideas but none that suit my taste. i like polka dots and do not want balloons because there will be small children in attendance. Please help me!!! What did you do for yours?

I am having my baby shower on November 10. Which is about 3 weeks from yesterday. I researched extensively because I had only ever been to one baby shower in my whole life, and had never planned one. I agree that most of what is available on-line is not very original. I wanted to make my own invitations but I drew a blank on that one because I ran out of time and I couldn't;t find any free baby clip art. I ended up buying printable invites. Everyone complemented them and said that they look like they were professionally done. They had baby foot prints on them and then I just typed what I wanted on them in whatever font I wanted. I am making my own favors though because I don't like whats out there. I did find a website that has completely free printable games on there including baby bingo. I don't know if you are into the diaper cake thing but there are free recipes for the diaper cake. Other than that, I wish that I could help you more. I thought it would be so easy to plan the baby shower in the year of 2007 with all this technology but it turned out to be a little more difficult than I thought.

One thing I've seen done at several showers was to have an inexpensive potted flower as the centerpiece. These can then double as prizes during the game session, and your guests get to take them home! That way you don't end up with tons of plants you won't have time to take care of.

Best of luck and congrats!!

why do you need centerpieces? is it a formal thing like a wedding? it doesn't make sense to spend extra money on something like that when it is so unnecessary. i have thrown a few baby showers and have never done centerpieces. just spend that money on some more food.

My baby shower was held yesterday and the hosts made a three tiered cake out of diapers and attached little baby items to it... ie; rattles, binkies, toys, teethers, etc.. The cake itself was a little lamb that my mom's friend made... it was quite simple but it was very enjoyable.
