Why do you do it?
Is it beneficial?
Is that guy racist, or did he insult your beliefs?
Is it for your privacy?
Did you guys become enemies?
Any other reason?
Just want to know why you block people so i can get an idea on why people block me. There are a few people i hardly knew and they block me. They have the right to do it, but i want to know why?

Although there are many people I could block, I do not. It serves no purpose.
I have been blocked numerous times, and probably for the same reason: my point total.
Since I am over 215,000 points, I have been deemed "a loser", and thus blocked. At least one dim bulb has the courtesy to advise me as such, just after I was blocked, so I could not send a response.
The trick is, I never know until I try to answer a question

I block people if they block me 1st or block them for judging me negatively based on 1 question & insulting. Some people block me & I don't even know why, but I have REASONS why I block people.

Simple. I've pisssed off a few folks with my brutally honest (and correct) answers and afterward, they would follow me around like a little puppy dog and give me thumbs downs, vote no best answer, and so forth. After awhile, you get tired of that and block certain users that habitually annoy you. It's basic self defense.
A perfect example is a whacko that went by the name Brainiac for several months. Then, after numerous violations, changed his name to Smucker. Finally, he went over the line too many times and got booted off of Answers. He came back under the name, "The Beaver" and swears up and down that he doesn't know Brainiac and Smucker, yet he uses the same avatar and the same twisted logic and language. Since I got tired of his stalking and goofy emails, I blocked him.

why you ask because the people i block look mad and not being respectful to anyone

I block people that have racist beleifs, or I have personally witnessed them insulting others or they are cheating on homework and tests.

I do not block people on this site because I do not feel that it's necessary to do so.

Yes, I do. I actually have a trolls collection on my profile, I have a lot of $mitty's, Pre Bi's, etc. And I also block racist people and people who say bad things about the USA, and of course I block people that I think that reported me...
