oooooh boy! ok i am a young woman, i think women should have equal rights, just like man, BUT the truth is, WE DON'T. they may say so, they may offer certain jobs, to women but it's only so they don't get sued!! I honestly think, for one if HILARY CLINTON is to become president for instance..... first of all this is a woman who ALLOWS her HUSBAND to have AFFAIRS!!! if she can just roll over and let her husband do that **** to her, whos to say she won't just roll over and let the countrys that hate our *** have their way! and 2 there are still many countries in this world who do not let women have equal rights, they can't show their hair or anything except their eyes... do you really think these leaders of these countries will listen to anything a WOMAN has to say?? I DON'T, there is a reason this country has had men as president, it has nothing to do with race or color just the fact that woman are not as respected as men, now by all means i'm sure men make mistakes too, BUT if it's a woman it is a whole other story..... i don't like this, but we can't help how this world is run... and a woman should NOT be president, it is my believe that she would let her PMS get in the way of her decisions!!! i mean geez..... i say stick to the men, they aren't doing a bad job running this country.... and at least other leaders of countrys may have a lot more respect for a man.... NOW i DO think we should have a black man president, why the hell not??? there is nothing about color that makes us different.... JUST HORMONES!! i would love to see a black president, but we may have the same problems, because a lot of countries are still racisist..... i don't agree but i can't change that.....

I don't think America is ready for it to answer your question.

But it is very possible, highly likely that the democratic candidate will be either black or a woman. Which is definitely an achievement in its own right. Plus there is the outside shot of a Hilary/Obama ticket.

Personally I don't like Hilary Clinton very much. I consider myself an Independent. I was a Democrat and I tend to lean more towards the left so more than likely I would vote Democrat, but it depends on the candidates.

Obama is still very much a mystery to me. He definitely grabs my attention but I still don't know where he stands on a lot of things.

Does it matter, the president is a parrot, yes anyone rich enough or popular with the guys that have all the money for you to win can be president.
But the people with all the money make all the calls that favor them.

We vote, so it seem as we are involved however we do not decide who is our president.

When will we stand and demand we be counted for.

This depends on what country your speaking of, I assume US. I am not racist, but a lot of people down south are, (I'm not saying everyone) so I do not think were ready for a black president. Lady however, Hillarious Clinton may win so I suppose we are ready.

i sure hope so because if we as a nation prove we aren't then we will have lost all credibility to the rest of the world as well as with ourselves. regardless if we like the woman or black that are running, if they get their parties nomination, if we choose not to vote at all or vote against them for just those reasons then we deserve what we get instead. can you imagine having another president Bush just because the alternative party offered a woman or black or hispanic or asian as their nominee.

I think this country is ready for anything, if it can survive what Bush is taking it through then I know it is ready for anything else.
