it sounds like you have had a wonderful upbringing, please don't hesitate to call or visit your mom and let her know exactly how you feel, perhaps rewording your question to make a lovely poem for her about how appreciative you are that she raised you and took care of you so well. don't wait till tomorrow to let her know because you never know what tomorrow will bring. I am the mother of 4 and I think it is every mother's hope that they do a good job and that their kids realize how much love we have for them while they are growing up. I hope one day my children will ask the same question, and then they will let me know I did it right even though I always thought I wasn't.

Show appreciation and gratitude for the little things she does. For example, if she invites you over for dinner, say, "I know you put a lot of work into making this meal, and it is so perfect. Thank you.' Or, if you are just chatting, say, "You know Mom, I remember all the work you put into raising me, buying me clothes, taking me to school, encouraging me and so many other things, that showed me how much you cared for me. I just want to tell you how much I appreciate all you did for me. It didn't go unnoticed."
Mom's love this kind of thing.

I am a mother and I would really love a lunch, shopping trip to the mall and a little homemade card made by my daughter. But I love hearing I love you mom

Tell her that you are thankful for all the things she has done for you. Call and see her whenever you get the chance. Be a good man and do the same for your children.
