There are six or seven different girlfriends in the game and you meet them during the course/end of certain missions. This sounds like you're picking up a hooker instead.

She becomes your hooker not your Girlfriend. Heavy on the wallet but replenishes health i think.
You must do the story mode to get girlfriends and even then i found them pointless.

She can be your girlfriend for a few minutes. She's a ho. If you drive somewhere secluded, she will bang you for cash.
