"People line up for care; some of them die. That's what happens," Canadian doctor David Gratzer, author of The Cure, told "20/20". Gratzer thought the Canadian system was great until he started treating patients. "The more time I spent in the Canadian system, the more I came across people waiting. ... You want to see your neurologist because of your stress headache? No problem! You just have to wait six months. You want an MRI? No problem! Free as the air! You just gotta wait six months."

So glad you're giddy, hon.

Better get a grip on your thong.

There's a real good chance that Hillary will win.

And no, dear, things won't be "freeeee."

We'll just make some improvements over Bush's reign of mediocrity.

I make $40,000 and I'm single. I have group health insurance that costs about $600 and pay $40/month (this is a $2500/yr HSA deductible). Others wotking here have the family plan and pay $400 a month. How can anyone afford this. The system is broken. It won't be easy to fix, but somehow we have to control the medical and insurance corporations. The investors aren't into the medical world to be nice, there's a lot of money to be made safely. This is a good example where it being government controlled, like the Veterens' hospitals might actually be an improvement. Let rich people buy the extra insurance for pampered care.

People are deliberately and dishonestly ignoring the health care problems in the US in order to criticize plans for improvement.

Canadians live longer than we do. That may be due in part to their universal health care system. Preventive care and early detection are important in preventing more serious medical conditions. Many people in the US can’t take advantage of those effective medical procedures because they can’t afford it and they have no health insurance.

Wake up to reality. No industrialized country wants to revert to our system where all are not covered. Most Americans think that our health care system is a serious issue.

Under HillaryCare, the American taxpayer will be forced to pay for Rush Limbaugh's OxyContin. Just give the five stars right now, baby

Canada's medical system may not be the best in the world, but the US certainly has it's share of problems. My husband had to wait for over 2 months for surgery on his hand. He couldn't work until it was repaired.
Most people aren't looking for handouts. Free medical care for children and people who are unable (due to a disability or other condtion) to work, should be available. I think it's imperative we take care of our citizens.

Under the current system we currently have people dying on hopsital room floors, months of wait lists for specialists, people dropped by their insurance for costly illness, people with insurance who are told they need to cover $250,000 of their bone marrow transplant as insurance will only cover $100,000.

I'm sorry, anything is an improvement on our current system.

Someone please ask Michael Moore where he had his stomach surgery. I didn't see him running to Cuba like you would've thought after his movie. How about Canada? Not so much. Could it have been the US? Wow, wonder why that would've been.
