Question: Why did Scott Skiles let Ben Wallace wear a headband this season?

Answer: Chicago Bulls coach Scott Skiles, who would not allow center Ben Wallace to wear his trademark headband last season, said Monday that the team has decided to make an exception to its team rule and let Wallace wear the sweat-stopping accessory during games.
The return of the headband was endorsed by Wallace's teammates, Skiles said.
"We still have a no-headband rule," Skiles told reporters. "I just left it up to the guys who have been here if they wanted to make an exception for Ben. I was fine with it. They were fine with it."

Question: Do you agree with that decision?

Answer: I have no argument over that, it's purely managemant decision you know. Let's just content ourselves reading what GM John Paxson said: "I think it takes a coach who is willing to adapt a little bit and listen to his players, understanding the big picture is winning, Scott's one of the best coaches in the league. There's no doubt in my mind. And he's able to adapt. It's really a non-story. But the fact that Scott has looked outside maybe a personal belief, there's nothing wrong with that."

Question: Will he do good with that headband of his?

Answer: Yes! When a player knows that his teammates support him and he got his coach's respect there is no way you won't be confident... Confidence in games makes you better... So I believe he'll be a better player this season.

Hope this helps.

probably to avoid a silly distraction such as a headband...but i dont think that skiles should bend his rules for a much weaker version of Dennis Rodman..... and really when all you have to do is grab rebounds does it really matter ...he was extrememly overrated with detroit remember the championship they won ..... Shaq averaged like 32 and 10 against him but detroit had a better team.... so let him wear what he wants he will be out the league in a year or two anyway

The Bulls need a big man who can score and rebound. Ben Wallace is a good rebounder but not a great scorer. The Bulls have a rookie by the name of Aaron Gray, who can develop into a good center.
