This boy I'm in class with at school was with his friends(about 8 of them) and he said "I'm sure alice(me) is really a man" and they all said "yeah" and "yes,I thought that too".

Why would they say this?
I've never been told that I look like a man(in fact I look girly and have quite big boobs) and I'm also not a tomboy so why did he say this?

I'm so upset!

The answer is quite simple...they're idiots. Boy's have a thing especially when they're young about teasing people...they're probably insecure and feel better diverting their own insecurities onto someone else. Also, they tend to have this herd mentality where one person (the leader of the pack) will say someonething stupid to get a laugh and they can either agree and fit in or disagree and be the odd one out, and most will agree just to fit in. I'm sure you look nothing like a man, which is probably why they said it. The best thing to do is not to let it get to you. If they don't get a reaction from you they'll soon leave you alone. I got teased at school for having big boobs, they'd say things like ''you're boobs go into a room ten minutes before you do''. But as I was quite secure in myself I'd laugh with them, then tell them to pissoff and get a life. My close friend however, (who is now a model) was very tall, very slim and very beautiful but very insecure about her height, and they soon realised it. Once they knew what she was insecure about they'd say things to her like ''giant' or 'manbeast', and she got really hurt by it, so they carried on saying it all year.
Another thing to remember is that if an immature lad has a crush on someone a lot of the time he will be mean to you in order to divert the attention away from the fact he likes you. There was a boy in my class who just used to be mean to me all the time, saying silly little comments that I never listened to but I did wonder what his problem was. When I got to my senior year I discovered that he'd had a crush on me for years and just before we left school he admitted this and apologized for how he'd behaved. But the bottom line is....they're retards, don't listen to them!:)

Sweetheart, in school, boys can be just as mean and hurtful as girls. Who knows? They probably really NOT even really think you like like a boy. They just want to get to you and upset you. Maybe they wanted you overhear, so it would upset you.
Sometimes boys do this when they like a girl. But even if this is not the case, and they are just being mean... I am certain you are beautiful - inside and out. Everyone has good and bad qualities in looks and in personality.
Don't let these boys get you down and throughout your life, only let positives influence you.
Don't let anyone take you from yourself - that girl and beautiful young woman you are becoming.
If you are as young as you sound (under 16), then you have a lot of growing and changing to do - in looks and feelings of self-worth. Right now, your self-worth is an extremly important focal point. Soak up your positives and know you are beautiful in your own ways.
Ignore them - they are simply immature boys trying to make you feel bad about yourself... for whatever the reason... so PLEASE don't let this upset you this way. Don't carry this with you.

His opinion of you shouldn't even matter. It is what you think of yourself. Don't let these mindless fools have control over you by what they think. I have found that people everywhere will have certain opinions about people whether they are true or not. Ignore these goons and pay them no mind. When they see that their little tactic to upset you didn't work they will do one of 2 things, try with another tactic to upset you or move on to making fun of someone else. Remember hold your head up high and do not let them intimidate you. Good luck and remember deep down you've got the power.

Don't think about it. You're beautiful, and no one can take that way from you. They were probably just joking around. If you're not a tomboy, be proud of the girl you are! They were probably just joking. Mean joke, but there's nothing you can do about it. Just hold your head high and look out to the world with pride!

Guys can be really cruel some times. Specially when they're together, they egg each other on to say stupid caca some times. 'Ts why I grew up with so very much anger hidden, and when Colombine happened, I was not at all surprised.

Don't worry bout them. They're idiots. I'm sure you are very pretty. Know yourself, and to heck with the rest, I say.

Kids can be the meanest people in the world. If one of those idiots says something they all agree to look cool. It sounds like there a bunch of followers. Did you know in europe they have this huge campaign against bullism-being a bully. Trust me they were doing it to just be hurtful.

Because most boys are dumb, especially when the are under the age of 18. It could have been a joke, he might have a crush on you, or he might not have been thinking...

DON'T WORRY. I'm sure you don't look like a man based on what you described.

Never mind those ding dongs. Some just want to get a rise out of you. And those who agreed probably just said yeah like cattle. It wasn't really important enough to get on a soapbox and reason it out.
Laugh it off and know said classmate is a jerk - not worth your hurt feelings.

Don't be. People jump on the band wagon to antagonize others whenever the "group" loudmouth starts the process because they secretly fear the tide of abuse is going to turn on them if they don't. It's a sign of a timid, weak mind, so don't let it bother you at all. Theirs is the more tortured existence between the two of you. You have a brain that's uniquely your own....they rely on the crowd to supply their point of view.
