They make the laws, so they are not going to make a provision saying they must go when the lie. Becuase they all 'bend' what they promise.

Some politicians promise a lot but find out once they get into office that they cant do what they promised because they cant get support from the community as a whole or they cant get the funding. When you are an outsider its easy to promise but when you are actually working in a political office you may find that things are different in the real world of the legislature. I usually look at campaign promises as fairy tales. In a perfect fantasy world, this what they would like to see happening. When the tire actually meets the road, they often cant accomplish what they would have liked to do even if they wish they could and work hard to do it. You may promise your boss that if they hire you the sales will increase 50% but if you cant persuade the public to buy the product, the manufacturer cant make it or the cost is too much, you wont be able to deliver on your promise.

They should be showered with WATER CANNON, like the one done to our reverred Holy Shiv Linga during the holy month of Sravana by Hindus, with the only difference that they should be hanged upside down and then the CANNON be opened up from top in full gear, until they become content, alongwith their conterparts in Bureaucracy, Police services, criminals / hunchmen, the blind supporters hiding among us like the proverbial black sheep, and dampening-out any movement gaining momentum to eradicate such people from the society.
For this, determination by the young educated class is a must. A united movement like the Satyagraha by Mahatma Gandhi of some different dimension and character is the need of the hour. Moreover, such movement should not be scattered or sporadic, but should be spontaneous, great support-base of right and rationally thinking patriotic people like your goodself, and thumped from all sides at the same time and with great force.
Remember, the politicians are the a miniscule in number, social outcasts in general, without character or morality. They do not deserve any laxity in the matter of their eradication, so the above-mentioned procedure be executed meticulously, forcefully, severely, and mercilessly even if it calls for a few hundred sacrifices.
After all, they are corrupt elements out to pollute everything they step in or eyes on.

Yes there is definitely something that can be done! Each of us can convince as many other people as possible that the bad politicians should go, and then participate in the next election to vote them out of office. We should never accept mediocrity from out elected officials. The laws of free countries have specific provisions for the peaceful changing of power through elections. If more people paid attention to the bad situations caused by certain politicians like you obviously already do, then politicians would see that the people do hold them accountable for their promises. Encourage your friends to pay attention to how their representatives are voting and also acting... then most importantly, to vote.

Not really, no, because oftentimes they'll make promises that are politically expedient (to get themselves elected); they'll make promises too mired in rhetoric to expect tangible results, or lastly, they'll make promises which they are unable to fulfill because they misunderstood the magnitude of political opposition they would face. What ends up happening in reality is, the longer you live, the less you expect politics to have any real impact on the quality of your day-to-day life. Politics is difficult to ignore largely when we're waging war on people,,,other than that it's a "popularity contest" that amounts to little more than a nuisance. Accountability went the way of the buffalo.

They a ready to become President when they have lied and schemed successfully enough.
How to solve it...make them sign a legal contract perhaps. Then again, the majority of people in office will not never pass such a measure into law...or they will sit on the issue for 10 years while only approving their salary increases each year.

promises could be broken and nobody will believe them anymore. This is a general problem to any country. If politicians always promise and never done what they promise people will not believe them anymore. People just say man of words but not a man of works;

There is virtually nothing we can do when when they lie to us! We have a federal election going on in Australia now! And, of course, their all lying like pigs in mud at us! Notice, when they are challenged after winning an election and breaking their promises, they deny ever saying it in the first place?..Its all very cleverly done. if you look at what they actually said in the first place, its so ambivilant and 'double ended' that it wasnt really a promise at all! What we have heard, is the 'key words' like..Tax Cuts!..Aha!..We think, were going to get tax cuts!..But what we failed to hear were words like 'Economic Environment'..'Post Budget Assement' 'Inflationary Factors' And on and on it goes!..Its called the 'political lie!" They use highly skilled 'spin doctors', mostly people in the advertising industry to formulate answers to questions that are really not answers at all! But they sound like they are!..Its all so skillfuly done! That, im afraid, is politics!

no there are no provisions...its not really a contract so they are not bound to deliver on the things they promise....but one thing you can do it vote them out of office....we started a political action committee and then replaced the politician with one that we like....and they were bound to do what they told us they would or else we would have supported another candidate.
