Many cricket greats were saying it before T20 world championship that the teams with quality all-rounders will be successgul in Twenty20 matches while the teams without good allrounders will struggle & this is also one of the reasons why no one expected India to win the T20 world championship.

I know Irfan Pathan is there, but we have to admit that he is still not a complete all-rounder. He is improving for sure but he is still not a regular all-rounder

Now the biggest surprise to all such people ( which have a lot of cricketing knowledge) has been that India has emerged as the top Twenty20 team so far.
The last win over Australia was infact India's 5th straight win.
India has won 7 out of 8 T20 matches so far.

Clearly,India has proved that if the batsmen can do their job properly & bowlers ,fielders can do their job properly then even a team without all-rounders can do well in this format of the game.

So, well done India

CHEERS!!!

I am not surprised infact. Now the young players like Yuvraj, Dhoni, Gambhir, Robin Uthappa look sturdy and aggressive. Earlier I used to envy the Australian team as they are very muscular and their physical fitness had always been one of the reasons for their consistent victories. But now I feel Indian team also has players who are equally fit. Everyone has to agree that Yuvi, Dhoni & other young players look more aggressive than Dravid or Ganguly. In ODIs this factor plays a major role. So I always had hopes in this strong batting line up of the young Indian team.

And the bowling too has been quite aggressive. Zaheer Khan, Irfan Pathan, RP Singh , Murali Karthik, H Singh all seem to be promising. That too the left hand bowlers can upset the right handed batsmen quite easily. The Indian team looked to be the best to me in the T20 world cup.

Of course the senior players did well in the last ODI series. But without using the rotation policy & giving chance to young players, it's always going to be tough for the team. Sachin can still play for the Indian team. Dravid can be rested for ODIs. Ganguly can play matches on a rotation basis.

Chak de India..!

I fully agree with your views. After India won the T20 World Cup, many people have been telling that India won the cup by fluke. Now with the second consecutive win over the strongest and No. 1 Cricket Team in the world, India have proved their critics wrong. I do not think anybody can now tell that India's win in the T20 World Cup was a fluke.

NOT AT ALL SURPRISED, BECAUSE WE HAD POWER HITTERS LIKE UTHAPPA, YUVRAJ, SEHWAG, GAMBHIR, DHONI, IRFAN.......PLAYERS LIKE THIS CAN TURN THE MATCH ANY TIME. AND YOUTHS FIELD WELL AND HOLD THEIR NERVES IN TIGHT SITUATION...IF YOU HAVE A QUALITY ALL ROUNDER THAN ITS A BONUS NO DOUBT BUT YOU CAN STILL WIN IT IF YOU PLAYERS AS MENTIONED ABOVE. BOWLERS HAVE DONE A EXTRA-ORDINARY JOB. AND THATS THE REASON WE ARE THE NUMBER 1 TWENTY20 TEAM........
GOOD JOB BY THE INDIANS
