Donya's question about Saturday matinees made me think of a show called "Cliffhangers' that was a summer replacement TV series sometime in the late 70's I think.

It featured three vignettes fashioned on the old Saturday serials.

One was a vampire segment with Michael Douri [sp?] who was a professor teaching at night and also a vampire

The other two I can't remember...I loved them! as they made me go back in time with the same features of the hero hanging with his life in jeopardy and the next week he never had fallen at all! lol

Here is the scoop - did you watch it?

"Stop Susan Williams": Susan Anton stars as a beautiful TV journalist investigating the murder of her brother, and stumbling on a vast international conspiracy.
"The Secret Empire": the adventures of a U.S. marshal in the Old West who stumbles upon a futuristic underground city run by aliens.
"The Curse of Dracula": starring Michael Nouri as Count Dracula, who is living undercover as a college teacher in 1979 San Francisco.

Yes, I do remember , especially Michael Nouri (was it that long ago?) He must have made the biggest impact on all of us because I can't remember the others either.

Yes, I remember Cliffhangers but I can only recall the episode - "The Curse Of Dracula"- starring Michael Nouri.

I remember "Cliffhangers". I remember the Michael Nouri and Susan Anton ones, but for the life of me, I cannot remember the third one.

It was a good show and I remember hoping that they would order a full season of it rather then just as a replacement. Well, you know what happened.
