In Amed a beach resort in Bali we were snorkeling in the morning when a little boat came in with a BIG fish. It took three men to lift it from the boat to a Warung, a combo restaurant/bar/store. We watched while they carried the sitll wiggling fish in.
At lunch we went into restaurant and asked what kind of large fish was carried in and the proprietor told us a Balinese name. My son his wife and I all wanted some of this fresh mystery fish and we ordered it cooked three different ways. All were delicious!
I wish I could remember the name of the Warung but I don't. But I can take you to it if you'd like to go!

If you want to go to a Bali McDonald's try the McRice (a hamburger served between two rice cakes) or the McSatay (a spicy satay burger) for a taste of McBali.
For real!

That reminds me of a 24-hour restaurant called Bagel Around the Clock. Well, one day the letter L (the second one) went missing. I don't know if I'd go to Peckers - because peckers are meat and I'm vegetarian - but I'd like to have my photo taken by your sign. An obvious item to put on your menu is Prairie Oysters. And Spotted D-I-C-K. (when I write the word normally it's censored by Yahoo!) Look it up.
