The hardest to deal with is rejection by parents, siblings and spouse. You have the most invested in these relationships. It may take time and therapy to work through these rejections. Friends are not fun to be rejected by but you have a lot less invested in these relationships. You can always make new friends. Examine the reason that they give you for the rejection. If it's legitimate try to change how you act in the future. If it's illogical, chalk it up to their loss and get on with life.

**in all these cases, try to reach out first but nothing works...

close friend - look for a new one

bf/gf/lover - ignore them. show them that your world doesn't revolve around them and that you can live on your without them.

spouse - ignore them too! i mean, not cuz you're married means they can just do anything and reject you and expect you to be there all the time.

family - this is one thing I cannot ignore. try to reach out and find out why. family is the only ones you've got. i mean, you can always find new friends or lovers but never your own blood. sounds cheezy but family is a big thing for me
