They will not postpone a c-section for a cold unless it develops into something more severe like a bad sinus infection or bronchitis.

You might be feeling better by the time you're scheduled anyway.

Since you will not be under general anesthesia you will not have any problems with having the surgery. A cold is a problem if you need to be intubated but with a C section that's not the case. You might see if you can wait an extra day or two so that you are feeling your best to welcome you new little one.

How exciting! Congratulations!

You will probably be over your cold by Thursday, and I doubt they would postpone your c-section over a cold anyway, but you should check with your doctor to know for sure.

In the meantime, drink orange juice and think happy baby thoughts!

Thursday is several days off, you'll probably be over your cold by then. Most of the time, colds are not severe enough to warrant a reschedule.

They may or may not put it off. My last c-section I was sick and went in labor earlier than my section was scheduled (only 3 days before, though) and the doctor went ahead and did my section, even though he really didn't want to. Call your doctor and talk to him or her.

if you talk to your doctor he might help you waiting a couple of days, but most probably you will have the surgery as originally scheduled. The worst part is that if you sneeze or cough after you had the surgery, it will hurt really bad!
