Why are N.B.A. players called thugs while N.H.L. players are called goons?

With the fights that take place in the N.H.L. every week,shouldn't it be the other way around?

Very true, it's more a racial thing than anything. Calling white guys thugs and black guys goons doesn't sound politically correct.

I don't agree with any of it.
