it would be good if they were in europe so my initial answer would be yes but not at the expense of our traditions, right to make our own laws and control of our institutions.
it is my fear that becoming part of europe will mean sacrificing too much and we will lose our britishness.

Whether we like it or not the UK is part of the continent of Europe. I am also in favour of EU membership.

Unfortunately as I see it we the British public are very poorly educated in the work of the EU. Getting clear and consice unadulterated information on what it does for us is surprisingly hard to come by and that is our own successive governments fault. The result is a lot of opinions are formed on the basis of jingoism and questionable tabloid reporting.

Like it or not - the UK has always been a part of Europe. No way to put it in Africa. But every state, not just the UK, should do its best to stay out of the EU, or to get off if it had the bad chance to fall in.

The alternative to the European Union was the European "theatre" before 1950: World War II, World War I, etc., etc...
Everyone who seems to be tired of the EU should remember this, single persons as well as entire nations. The bygone times of national egoism were the worst this poor planet has ever seen. So - what was your question?

First UK never got along with Europe they had wars with France Germany Spain Italy and Greece UK is in a marriage with USA and it will make a bad triangle with Europe cause USA do not want the survival of Europe so they can manipulate them which ever way they want so it could be nicer if they NEVER let her in cause she is not really there !

Personally I'm in.

The country has to stop dancing about on the periphery and get fully involved, then it would be in a much stronger position to set the agenda.

Ithink we still want to be in Europe but to retain our own identity. Do you think that Europe wants to be part of Brittain as we are a lot more successful and much more envied around the world than the rest of Europe put together

Definitely out.
I am sick and tired of us losing control of things dear.
We are an island nation, should stay out of the eu, and lets trade with the rest of the world without being told what to do.
