I think so. I mean look at it. They beat colorado in boulder. They havn't done that since 1995. They also havn't gone 7-0 since 1995 either. With some of the top players including Todd Reesing and Aqib Talib I think they have a great chance of winning the Big 12. What do you think?

Also do you think Kansas will go 8-0 against Texas A&M. I think so.

Why are you saying K-State is the best they have played? Colorado beat Oklahoma! K-State beat Texas. Both teams are good. KU beat two good teams. So you cant say they only beat one significant opponent

It's not the Jayhawks' fault their schedule has been easier than Matt Leinart's old harem of coeds; the perfect record is still impressive. Their biggest win came over No. 25 Kansas State (4-2) on Nov. 6. And, well, that's about it. Kansas' five other opponents have a combined record of 11-22, not to mention the Jayhawks played all five of them at home.

The easy ride changes Saturday with a trip to Colorado (4-3) to play a Buffaloes team that beat No. 4 Oklahoma less than a month ago. Kansas has won just once in their last 10 trips to Boulder, which makes their status as four-point favorites tenable at best.

"It will be another test for us, as is every week," said Kansas running back Jake Sharp. "The Buffaloes have a great football team and we are excited to go down there and play on their home turf."

Sharp is a big reason the Jayhawks boast their highest ranking since finishing the 1995 season at No. 9. The sophomore running back already has three 100-yard rushing games and is averaging 6.6 yards per carry with five TDs. Last week in a 58-10 thrashing of Baylor, he racked up 110 yards on 18 carries with a score.

Of course, quarterback Todd Reesing has also had something to with his team's second-ranked scoring offense. Reesing has racked up 1,652 yards through the air with 16 touchdowns and just four interceptions. With a 153.18 rating that puts him 15th in the nation, he's got the confidence to match.

"They told us it was going to be tough to play at Kansas State because we hadn't won there in 20 years, but we were able to win there," Reesing said. "I don't think we're going to worry about trends that have happened because I think we've shown that this Kansas team isn't going to follow any trends of the past."

Man, I'm a KU grad and although I'm very excited about the success the Hawks are having this year, I'm finding it difficult to accept the realism of it all.

Hey, we've got a great team. They're doing everything it takes to keep winning week after week. I'm very proud of em.

But, I just get this jittery feeling in my stomach thinking about seeing KU on top of the standings come the end of the regular season.

Then again, hasn't the 07 season been the year of the upsets and surprises? Bring it on..."Champion The Underdog"

Rock Chalk!

i think they are for real, its doesnt mean that they are not capable of stumbling somewhere,ok st is looking better and texas am isnt a slouch and missouri is rolling.i dont really see where people say their schedule is so easy. i hope they can do it ! they should be in the top 10 this week, but watch if they lose once they will probably be out of the top 20,thats how much respect their not getting.they could go undefeated and not make the national championship game.

They have a relatively easy schedule remaining so I can see them winning the North, However if they play in the Big 12 Championship game, Whoever wins the South(probably Oklahoma) will most like likely bring them back down to reality.

Kansas is this seasons smoke and mirrors team. Theyve played no one but K-State. Playing the likes of Florida International and NorthSouthEastWestern Michigan School for HVAC Repair means nothing.

Oklahoma, Missouri and Texas are the real deals for the Big 12.

If you beat Mizzou this year and make it to the Big 12 Championship game, then KU will get some respect. Who cares that they are still not getting respect just keep winning. My sooners will be waiting for you.

No, they're not for real. Colorado isn't that good, and outside of the Kansas State win, Kansas hasn't played ANYONE (and people think Ohio State's schedule is weak). They won't win the North because they won't beat Missouri.

I don't think so. Their best win was against a 4-3 Kansas St. Team. That is the only team they've played with an above .500 record. Great for Kansas for winning against the high school teams they played against but they can't be taken seriously.

Mmmm quite possibly, they looked great. Guess we will see with 4 weeks basically left. They will have a meeting with Olklahoma in Kansas City.
