I have recently found an e-book on using acupressure during your pregnancy and how it works. I have looked into all sorts of alternate methods in pregnancy and childbirth. This seems to be the best that I have found. Here is the link so you can see for yourself, at http://www.MaternityAcupressure.com. It has helped me with my morning sickness and my pain. I am having such a good pregnancy so far.

Wonderful, as long as a professional does it.

There are some pressure points (like on the ankles, for instance) that can cause labor contractions.

It's awesome, if it's done correctly. If it's not done correctly, it can cause problems like preterm labor.

You're better off going to a professional to have it done if you can.

At my hospital we have an Integrative Medicine department with nurses who are trained in all sorts of alternative therapies like accupressure / accupuncture, aromatherapy, healing touch, etc. The pregnant women we have on bedrest on our antepartum unit get their treatments 3 times per week, and LOVE it. They report less anxiousness, have fewer complains of aches and pains, etc. It's fabulous.

I am sorry and I don't mean to be rude but I think all acupuncture is a joke. I don't believe in it at all.
