Well it depends on how you perceive things.
If you ask me education tell gives you path for success and its up to you to take the path and achieve the success .
But then uneducated people have also become great leaders, innovators , discoveres and great humanitarians.
It all depends on the experience we gather in life and how to take the positive and negatives and to apply the experience we have got in the future..
Cheers

First off, it's "Are education and success correlated". The answer is always "yes". Whether that education is in the classroom, or comes from experience. Although, without a classroom education your chances of getting any meaningful experience are extremely limited.

yes. i've read educational psychology books and they find a strong correlation between the two. it makes sense because if you look at highest incomes (besides entertainers who are only one in a million), the ones at the top are the ones who have gone to college and spend more time in college. the biggest predictor of success is reading. if you have kids make sure they can read at or above their grade levels and that they are reading a lot.

Not always. A formal education does not necessarily mean success.
But if you mean education through experience, learning from life etc..... than yes you can be successful

by education I hope you mean formal education in the classroom.
well they are not necessarily correlated.
we have many examples to prove it and the most prominent is that of Bill Gates who was Harward dropout. but there is a catch here...that is he was intelligent here to get into Harward which is one of best universities in the world.
learning never stops n life, experience give you best education that you can have.
the best thing from my point of view would be taking studies seriously working hard n completing formal education from top quality institutes as that defenitely enhances chances of being succesful in life which really important.

My Dear Brother, EDUCATION in true sense is all about becoming more humble and down to earth as you gain knowledge and success. SUCCESS in true sense of the word is the ability to learn from your mistakes and failures. Thus HUMBLENESS is the catalyst required to achieve both EDUCATION and SUCCESS.

Only if you believe in US Department of Labor statistics, or have work or military experience.
The degrees rule. The smart people who didn't get a degree help support and glorify the degree holders.
