Firefox has released a patch for this problem. You should be running Firefox version 2.0.0.8

No browser is impregnable; none such browser will ever be conceived. Claims of perfect browsers are bigamous.
There are, and will always be, security flaws. The only question is of what magnitude. The security vulnerability has been addressed by Mozilla; however, FireFox is not a means of preventing any identity theft. Sure, there is a list of phishing sites, but without common sense, the average computer user can be suckered into a page/portal of a fake bank or online pay service (reference: all those PayPal scams that siphon your login), and FF cannot provide realtime heuristics.
And yes, we've all heard of it. A list of flaws are presented in a report on Mozilla's site addressing known, fixed, and identified bugs/security flaws, and addresses them by magnitude.
