I've noticed that my microwave has developed a strange odor...I've always cleaned it after each use, so it's not any type of food particles. Any suggestions what I can use to get rid of the odor?

Simply place a microwave safe bowl or cup in your microwave with White Vinegar place about nearly a cup just so it is below the edge of the cup or bowl then allow the vinegar to boil on high for a minute leave this vinegar in your microwave for a few hours then just wipe the walls of the microwave with a soft cloth or sponge no rinsing needed, the vinegar will have removed the odors from inside the oven, Caution there will be a vinegar odor just until it dissipates then your oven will be clean and odorless Or you can use this method Steam-clean your microwave

To clean your microwave, place a glass bowl filled with a solution of 1/4 cup vinegar in 1 cup water inside, and zap the mixture for five minutes on the highest setting. Once the bowl cools, dip a cloth or sponge into the liquid and use it to wipe away stains and splatters on the interior Good Luck !

There is a few steps to comply with to take away the lysol smells. one million. Place a thick slice of lemon on a paper towel and microwave it on prime for one million to one million one million/two mins. Let it stand in a single day or till the liquid has cooled. two. Pour one million/two c. bottled lemon juice right into a microwave-dependable bowl or a two-c. glass measuring cup (for those who should not have a recent lemon) and comply with the equal guidelines. Caution: Never use business oven cleaners in a microwave oven. I feel this may occasionally aid you.

Spray the microwave with a citrus all purpose cleaner or windex. Then put a wet washcloth in the microwave and turn it on for about a minute and a half. The steam created will loosen anything that may be stuck in the vents and the scented cleaner will make it easier to clean but also smell better.

the best way to clean a micro is by setting a cup of water in there and boiling it. Then everything should wipe clean. Now for the odor.... I suggest closing newspaper up in there overnight. The paper should absorb any odor. Good Luck!!

You can heat a bowl of water in the microwave to loosen the dirt, then remove bowl, clean microwave out with baking soda and rinse with a damp cloth.

Yes - put lemon juice mixed with water in a bowl and start the microwave until the water boils. Just leave it in there for a little while. Lemon juice does wonders.
