Small heaters are much more expensive to use than the central unit. Plus, you are only heating a small area at one time. The cost to run a 110 volt appliance is way higher than a 220 volt unit.

small electric heaters use twice as much, your better on putting heating on timer for couple hours three times a day which will keep chill at bay.
