Relevancy is a personal thing. People are lonely; they want to find some aspect of human existence to relate to, or they are bored, in which case they want to be entertained.
Sometimes people are both bored and lonely. They need to realize something out side of their own individual worlds (selves), something which helps affirm that they are part of something larger.
Why do I on occasion do this, ask questions on Polls and Surveys? Yes, I am alone, and yes I do get bored. Besides, it's fun. Maybe that's the best reason, for the fun of it.

because i'm curious on what they will say on their opinions and also its a way on how many people will reply because there are so many people on p/s that a question can get like 40 answers in a matter of minutes, compared to others where it can take hours
but the down side is that its hard to get the first answer and how there are so many questions being asked that some questions only get a few answers

I love to make up surveys that have no value and are just silly.
Some people like them.....some ask why I'm asking...LOL
For me it's just a little fun.

I think its just the interaction with other people that make it fun! you can ask anything and you may get an array of different answers, some funny, some serious,!

Curiosity, opinions etc. I like answering questions and letting others know who I am and asking and finding out more about people.
