He was putting mortar between the veneer rocks on the little wall that makes my flowerbed. Some cement fell onto the grass, then when we rinsed the wall more cement got on the grass. The best was that he rinsed out the bucket he was using right in the middle of the lawn.

Will this kill my grass? I have tried flushing it away with lots of water....

It wasnt tons of cement, but I thought the watery stuff might contain harsh stuff- lime or whatever.

My guy washes cement and paint in my lawn all the time. As long as you flush it with more water it will dilute into the ground.. sometimes it gets a bit withered but it will revive in a few weeks.

Cement is made of the earth and can be returned to the earth without any real problem. Like one answerer already stated, as long as it gets diluted and does not harden on top of the grass your grass will be just fine.

Actually, the lime is good for the soil. The problem with concrete is the part that hardens and smothers the grass. Just washing it down with a hose should cure any problems. If there are any chunks, remove them, new grass should grow there if it is destroyed.

Yes it will harm the lawn. But you already did correct it, lots of water will dilute it or it will run off.
