It would seem nowadays the trend is preserving male genitalia integrity, and circumcision rates have dropped alot over the years- 57% down from what was once 90%. Despite their "research" that newborns can't feel pain, they DO feel pain. No need to spend money on research to figure that out.
And there's absolutely nothing wrong with leaving it as nature intended it. Still, over half of newborns do get circumcised, and they didn't have much of a choice. Don't get me wrong, I do support the boy's right to choose when he gets older, but that's just the fact of it.
I really don't think it's so much of a health problem than doing it just for the aesthetic look of it (some bizarre custom, I suppose) and to remove the chore of having to wash under in the shower. Infection rates are actually really low, and don't even get started about cancer-it's so low it shouldn't even be considered. As long as there's good hygiene, there won't be any problem at all. I think one of the greatest benefit is recently they told people that getting cut reduces the chance of HIV infection by a little over half, so that's worth alot.
However you decide for your son or let him decide, a high and tight circumcision is usually the best and the most opted for (I think mostly it's better looking, I suppose). I know, I have a personal experience high and tight circumcision done when I was 16-there was nothing wrong with me and I didn't mind. My parents had me circumcised anyway because the new doctor recommended it when I had a physical. Either way, I didn't get a choice, but I do like the new look of it. A looser one gives the extra skin to masturbate with, but there can be minor complications like skin bridges or skin 'clumping' and it would just look like a short foreskin that's been pulled back a little.

I have no idea what you are talking about; tight, loose, or in between, but you do know that any "extra skin" disappears when he has an erection. If it were too "tight", seems to me like it could be painful with an erection. Guess I am one of those with an "in-between" and it has never been a problem, but i am sure glad I don't have a "tight" one, whatever that is.

When will people understand that circumcision is simply genital mutilation that is socially condoned. There are societies that are ostracized for the act of female circumcision, and yet we believe that male circumcision is ok. The foreskin is there for many reasons and there are now medical reasons backing the leaving of the foreskin intact.
Keep in mind that the cutting away of the clitoral hood is the same as the cutting away of the penile foreskin. They both expose the most sensitive part of the sexual organ for no real therapeutic or medical reason.

You and that group are disgusting. You should seriously be ashamed for yourself.
Why don't you wait to see if he wants it? It's not about what you want.
Also, please stop using that link you put, it looks terrible as in 1st degree pedophilia, what would you be talking about ? A boys penis, I mean, c'mon!

Don't get him cirsumsized! Thats his choise not yours! Wait until hes older and give him the choise. Althought routine, circumcision is not needed or healthy. It it mutilation and the foreskin is there for a reason, to protect the glans. If you keep it clean it will be free from infection. Please, please reconsider.

Your cafemam group is a "sick" group. What the f*** do they know about circuncision? Get with the times and give your kids the freedom of choice. Why not cut off a toe or finger to show your love for your child? You people are "Sick".
