Times change, countries change. We might not be the leading military power we once were but our language has crossed the globe and our influence on world affairs is still far stronger than any other country of our size. Our standard of living for the average citizen is far higher than it ever has been.
Voting BNP would be an act of self destruction. A one issue racist party which follows a rigid dogma of hate would isolate this country and destroy us.
This isn't "Billy j", it's failed BNP candidate Roy West, using yet another of his multiple identities to make us think his BNP nonsense has some support.
Roy lies to us on Y!A by claiming to be many people and he cheats by ignoring Y!A rules on multiple accounts.
Roy West, failed BNP candidate, liar and cheat.
Still Roy, at least while you're wasting time on Y!A, the good people of Dukinfield are spared your poison on their streets.

We can all acknowledge the fact that the waning of the British Empire did reduce the prestige of the UK. However, the cultural greatness of Britain lives on.
As an American, I feel that there exists only two nations that are defending the modern (i.e. British) manifestation of Western civilization; Britain and the United States. Since American culture inevitably derived from British history, the UK is thus the primary embodiment of Western ideals and customs.
What blurs the reality of British greatness is the changing demographic landscape of the Great Island. Large migrations of foreign populaces who are not implored to assimilate into their new host nation, have combined with the multicultural passivity of a great civilization that feels guilty for being itself. British natives are finding it increasingly hard to defend their culture and history, because these very things are relentlessly maligned by secularists, liberal ideologues, and multicultural gurus that advocate moral relativism over national identity.
Unfortunately, foreigns migrants know exactly who they are and what they stand for. These people are thriving on a wave of truths perceived in black or white, while we in the West are drowning in a sea of obfuscated, 'grey' concessions and apologies.

Yes and No.
If You look at it from the perspective that Britain once ruled an Empire which spanned the Globe, including My Country America. And now rules nothing but Great Britain, then the answer is Yes.
If You look at it from the perspective that, even so, Great Britain is by far and away the second most powerful Country in the Modern World. Then the answer is No.
Can't help My English cousins on ya'll elections. Your going to have to sort that one out on your own.

Britain is still the same wonderful country it has always been and like all wonderful countries, the people mature, they change as time flavors everything and everyone with change to keep life interesting and not stagnant. Be nice and have some faith in a country and it's people who have brought the rest of us the understanding of what courage and faith in the future means. I'm still terribly sad that I will probably never be able to visit there and see Hogwarts!

Brittains territories were so numerous and far apart that the sun literally never sat on Brittain, and you ask if Brittain has become a shadow of it's once greatness. Yes, Brittain is no longer an empire.
Choosing one or the other political party usualy makes very little difference. They're all politicians, and they all act accordingly.

Britain had an empire built on slave labour, drug trading and wars of conquest. Those days are thankfully behind Britain.
Regarding your second question, Nazism brought terror and horror to the world. I don't want it in Britain thank you.

No I would not vote for the BNP. They are Nazis and some of their policies are laughable (return Eire to the UK) and some I do not agree with (death penalty).
I just want to see the "open door policy" closed, some real input made into getting young people skilled up and into work, more social housing and a crackdown on law and order. Thats enough for me.
