For India to become world champions in oDI, they have to become a more consistent team. Since the next world cup is in 2011, they havve sufficient time to cultivate the habit of being consistent and win most matches they play. once they do that, they can hope to become world champions

Now that Greg Chappel is no more around, the way is clear. The Indians have to do some home work and select the best young players and say good bye to regionalism. Then within a year, we can be world beaters.
The batting, bowling and fielding coaches should necessarily be from India.

what the hell r u talking. they are currently 6 in odi ranking. so how can they be the world champions without beating the current champions i.e. australia which they could not do.

At current stage we can't expect of that, but.... at time of next World cup it may be possible if current team (without Sachin, Ganguly & Sehwag ) plays consistently with an aim to get the world cup.. lets hope for the best..
