Do you think that it's ridiculous?

Oh my gosh Yessss!
They are like family. I had a dog for 12 years and he died when I was starting high school. I didn't realize how much he meant to me until he was gone. I wished I had played with him a little more as I used to. I love dogs, but I promised I would never get another pet because I didn't want to go through the pain of losing it ever again. That's kind of wrong, but the sadness was great. And it's not ridiculous to mourn a pet.

Take Care!

Of course I cried. My dog was part of my family for 15 years. How could I not cry?! No, I don't think it's ridiculous to cry for a pet that died. It's natural.

Best wishes!

Yes I cried when my last two pets died. My most recent was my Rotti. He died very quickly or should I say unexpectedly.I look at ALL of my pets as like my children. They are loyal, loving, protective. They also DON'T answer back, and for the most part they DO as they are told.

I've had a million pets in my life and now I'm so used to them dying. So, I don't cry anymore. When I was little my feelings were sensitive, just like many other children, and I used to cry with every puppy, kitten, or duckling's death. Sob.

It's not ridiculous to cry when your BELOVED pet dies. You lose something important that you love.

I had a full on nervous and mental breakdown when my dog died. She died the week of my wedding and was my baby .. I was devastated and still am... I didn't even get to see her before she died ... I had her creamated so I can take her everywhere with me ... So no it's not ridiculous and anyone who thinks that is sick and needs help!
