The only thing they have in common is that.
The Yankees had a very good season they made the playoff.The Mets blew their season by blowing the NL East.The Devilrays just suck and will never make the playoffs in my lifetime.He is not right.

Yes...I agree with him/her to a certain extent. Neither teams made it to the their respective League Championship Series let alone the World Series.
The Yankees and Mets were almost forgone conclusions to be playing each other in the World Series. I would assume that Mets and Yankee fans are just as dissapointed in the season and the Devil Rays fans are.

Depends on how you look at it! The goal is to win the series then yes but look at this way The Mets and Yankees were so entertaining while they just made complete fools of them selfs in the September/October melt downs as far as TB there harmless unless they get a real Baseball guy to run them then watch out they have some very good young talent there but seem to have the Fla curse where no seems to care.

Your friend is nuts. To say the Devil Rays had an equal season to these other teams, especially the Yankees is stupid. Only one team can win the Worl Series. To say that everyone else is equal shows a lack of knowledge of sports.

when you consider that the Yankees spent $220 mil, the Mets only $100 mil, and Tampa only around $25 mil, yeah its the same. The Yankees should be winning it all every single year with that payroll. Any time the Skankees do not win it's pathetic.

The Yankees got too show their young talent thats gonna be with them for another few years(Hughes, Joba and Olendorff)
Your friend is a prick who has to understand that his standards are too high when he puts the Yankees as World Series Champions!

He's right about not winning, but they did it differently. The way the Mets got eliminated the last day was heart breaking. And I know how much.

techinically no, but he could say that because none of them won the world series, but you can answer with the mets and the yankees both made theb playoffs and the drays didnt!
