When it comes down to democrats tying to take away free speech from someone?
When Imus said something he was pushed into being fired and when someone wants to hire him and when you hear the ncaacp say he should never work again made me think that Al sharpton never should work again for saying racist stuff about Jews.
Now when Rush said something it was taking out of context and he handed it perfectly turning the tables having exposed the abuse of power in the senate and house. I know one thing democrats need to stop looking at media matters and look at the facts a little more.

I thought it was funny,Rush has thoroughly embarrassed those who tried to attack him. I guess they didn't realize who they were dealing with. Even if you aren't a Rush fan you have to hand it to him. The Liberal speech police came after him,and so far he has made them all look like fools. Just as Bill O'Reilly did when they went after him recently. They got Imus and after that they thought they had some sort of real influence. But then they started messing with the big boys on the block, and so far I would say it has been an utter failure. Hell they even failed on the Imus thing really,he collected the 20 Million dollars he would have gotten if his show hadn't been pulled, and he will be back on the air very soon.

Rush has an audience of loyal conservative supporters who want to hear what he has to say. Imus attracted an audience with many liberal as well as conservatives mostly with his guest, who did not want to be associate with his comments. Since both need advertisers and an audience to stay on the air, Imus lost his audience and could no longer make stations money but Rush could. That is the way free markets work, so Rush is stronger. People have a right to say what they want, without government interference, but not with out social disapproval and criticism. They do not have the right to be paid to do it, and people have the right not to listen or be part of their audience.

I believe Rush has it all over Imus in the field of intellect.
Imus attacks people who are not political and/or have done nothing to deserve racial slurs.
Say what you will about Rush. He is genuine in his views and is not a racist in any form.
His main attack/focus is on politicians that twist our constitutional rights.
Rush is also an avid supporter of our military and has raised a lot of funding for them. He is far more charitable in my estimation.

Imus is a morning talk show host that interspersed his program with very little political content, he never did, nor never will enjoy the amount of listeners that Rush has.

I think Rush is stronger. Imus fell all over himself making apology after apology and got himself nowhere. If he'd have stood up and said something to the effect of "I was trying to be funny because that's what I'm paid to do, be funny, and I'm sorry you took it the wrong way" I'd have a lot more respect for him.

They had Imus dead to right with his words. With Rush they outright lied and it backfired on the poor boobs.
