An omen is regarded as a portent of good or evil. I think it doesn't present itself as general manifestation. It all depends on the interpretation of the individual peculiar to his background. I think you should not read omens into anything you see. Let life unfold itself while you live it. Cheers!

You have to be open to the possibility of omens first. Then you can begin to recognize them. Sometimes it is good to keep a journal about daily happenings. That way you can pick up on patterns. If you journal for a while and notice that a particular bird sings by your window, for example, pay attention to what happens frequently next. Good or bad is in the eye of the beholder usually.

If Omens were really potent, then by now we would have had a standard text on them for universal application and observance. What's good or bad is the attitude we have about things which work/don't work, nothing more.

We usually don't recognize them until something good or bad happens, then we give them a value when we're thinking about it later.
