When I started high school my parents began requiring that I wear a belt to school. I had to tuck in my shirt too. Fridays were free--I didn't have to wear a belt then. I also had to wear a belt to church on Sundays. As soon as I got home from school or church, I would take my belt off so I could be more comfortable. My parents thought it was a little strange--I never tried to hide the fact that I was doing this (I'd pull the belt off as soon as I walked in the door, sometimes my mom or dad would be there and see me), and I did it every day--but they never tried to stop me. Sometimes I would also untuck my shirt, but sometimes I would leave it in. Do any of you take your belts off after school? Do you also untuck, if you've been tucked in all day? What do your parents think?

It depends. If i'm going out soon then i will leave everything on. I will remove my belt if i;m wearing a belt without going through the belt loops eg on tunic or skirts etc. If i'm wearing my belts with my jeans, i usually keep them on as long as i'm wearing my jeans. I don;t feel their presence at all. unless i'm having a stomachache at that time :p

What's the big deal with wearing a belt? Are your pants so tight that a belt is unnecessary? I don't get it.
I live in the tropics and almost always wear shorts. When I'm home without outside company, I prefer to just wear my boxers. It's comfy for me.

Yeah of course! belts fit snug so are uncomfortable if you always leave it on. I used to get home, take off belt and untuck shirt, just makes you feel less restricted and more chilled.

yeah, i would take my belt off it is one of my uncomfortable ones. Unless I will be going somewhere after-school.

tip: try getting more comfortable belts, and don't buckle your belt to the tightest it could be on you. Silk belts work fab. too, and they're high fashion!

that seems odd to me. my parents have never required me or even asked me to tuck in my shirt or to wear a belt. i actually don't even own a belt. i'm a girl but still, i hate belts and chose not to wear them. good luck with that.

No. I don't mind wearing it. I only wear a belt with jeans though- the rest of my pants and skirts are tailored or fitted.

The minute I get home from work, I kick off my shoes, take off my ID badge, throw my keys on the table and kick back in front of the TV. (If i've had a bad day, I throw the keys at the cat, not the table).

I took it off about 15 years ago and haven't seen it since. Buy pants that fit and there is no need for one whatsoever.
